The South Australian Band Association (SABA) acknowledges the contribution of those who work for the advancement of banding, and the intrinsic qualities of community music, through the annual presentation of the SABA Awards.

The SABA Awards are given to:

• Recognise outstanding achievement by bands and individuals in promoting banding in South Australia.
• Encourage the creative promotion and presentation of banding to the community.
• Raise awareness of the work of bands and individuals in the wider community.
• Enhance the profile of the SABA as the peak body of banding in South Australia.
