Formed in 1857, the internationally acclaimed Tanunda Town Band is recognised as the oldest continual brass band in the Southern Hemisphere... and has been entertaining audiences locally, nationally and internationally for the last 160 years!

Based in the historic town of Tanunda, in the iconic Barossa Valley of South Australia, band members rehearse weekly - dedicating their skills, time and commitment to ensure the band’s proud heritage continues to flourish.

Tanunda Town Band is an ‘A Grade’  band which excels in traditional brass band and classical music and regularly takes part in community events, public concerts and corporate engagements.  During its long history, Tanunda Town Band has successfully competed  at local, state, national and international competitions.

A major highlight of the TTB calendar is the annual Melodienacht performance, where the band has been joined by a variety of illustrious guests including James Morrison, Tim Campbell, Rhonda Burchmore, Rachael Beck , Mark Stefanoff  and Andrew Crispe.

Other memorable performances include Classics Night, Oktoberfest events, overseas tours and appearances on major cruise ships - bringing TTB’s unique style to a world- wide audience!

The band loves to perform and can be booked for community and corporate events.
